Professional Development Plans

Supporting Personal Growth in Professional Practice

Professional Development Plans in the Danielson Collection focus teachers on improving their practices according to the Framework for Teaching. The plans allow teachers to look at their own methods and compare them with the four domains used in the Framework.

Teachers and observers compare their findings from self-assessments and classroom observations to establish baselines and goals. The plan includes clear action steps for improved professional practice and resources to support those actions.

Professional Development Plans identify strengths, areas for improvement, and growth trends by each of the 22 components in the Framework for Teaching. The plan becomes both a guide and a history for each teacher’s professional practice.
