Becoming Certified Distinguishes Teachers in the Field of Education
Dr. Marzano's certifications provide national distinction and recognition for educators as certified by Marzano Research Laboratory and the National Institute for Professional Practice in the Art and Science of Teaching and as an Expert Teacher.
Dr. Marzano's certification process provides teachers a structured opportunity to engage in deliberate practice and submit evidence of teaching effectiveness to graduate education faculty members for review.
Certification Levels
1. Dr. Robert Marzano's Certification in the Art and Science of Teaching
- Demonstrate proficiency in applying the 41 key strategies identified by research for effective teaching.
- Eligible for certification by completing the Online Program to Support Effective Teaching or the Master of Science: Major in the Art and Science of Teaching
2. Dr. Robert Marzano's Certification as an Expert Teacher
- Earn status as an expert teacher by consistently producing substantial gains in student learning
- Engage in continuous professional exploration, reflection and collaboration to hone skills
- Demonstrate mastery of teaching as evidenced by student achievement gains
Certification in the Art and Science of Teaching and as an Expert Teacher are offered as part of the Marzano Suite for Connecting Teacher Growth to Student Achievement
